Traveldex

Privacy Policy

Traveldex is an early-beta travel-organizing tool operated by Eduardo de Magalhães ("we", "us"). This page explains what data we collect and why, in plain language. Traveldex is currently a small, independent project — not a large company — and we try to collect as little as we need to make the product work.

What we collect

• Account data: your email address and a hashed password (we never store your password in plain text).
• Trip content: booking confirmations you forward by email, files you upload (tickets, PDFs, photos), and trip details you type in, including anything you tell the AI planner.
• Technical data: basic server logs (IP address, timestamps, error logs) kept for a limited time to debug and secure the service.

How we use it

We use your data only to build and maintain your itinerary: parsing forwarded emails and uploaded documents (using third-party AI parsing where noted below), rendering your trips, and sending you account emails (verification, password reset). We do not sell your data, and we do not use your trip content for advertising.

Third parties

Email parsing is performed using OpenAI's API — content you forward or upload may be sent to OpenAI for parsing purposes, subject to OpenAI's own data-handling terms. Outgoing account emails are sent via our own mail server.

Data retention and deletion

Your trips and account remain until you ask us to delete them. Email us at add@traveldex.ch to request a full export or deletion of your data, and we'll action it promptly.

Security

Passwords are hashed (bcrypt); the service runs over HTTPS end-to-end. As with any early-beta software, treat it accordingly — avoid forwarding anything you wouldn't want stored on a small independent server.
